Have you ever looked through magazines and wished you could have the complete look in your own home?

The majority of people have no issues choosing individual items they like and have an idea of the style they are after, but struggle to put it together to create complete and resolved look.

At Nathan + Jac they have curated not only a beautiful range of products to be purchased individually, they have also put together collections in either accessory packs, or complete room packs. These packs are the final layer of decorating and ensure a cohesive look is achieved.

I hadn't heard of this service prior to finding Nathan + Jac a couple of weeks ago, it's the perfect solution for someone who wants a resolved and beautiful room without struggling to collate items yourself. They have various styles in their catalogue ranging from beautiful Scandinavian styled collections such as the Wild-Heart; or Wonderland' packs, to the seriously-stylish bachelor pad in the 'Zachari' pack.

Nathan + Jac is founded by three Melbourne-based stylists; Tammy Nathan, Jac Zarkovic and Bec Astrinakis. They have created their own range of furnishings including cushions, floor cushions and linens, which are absolutely divine!

What inspired you to begin this venture and what has been the biggest surprise?

We were inspired to create Nathan + Jac after years of our client’s and friend’s asking us for advice on how to style cohesive looks for the home. This seemed to be the biggest issue, most people know what they like but when it comes to sourcing and styling a look there were barriers. There have been many surprises and learning curves along the way but probably the biggest surprise to date has been how quickly the market has responded to the concept.

How would you describe the companies aesthetic/vision?

We’re contemporary, attainable and approachable. Nathan + Jac is the gateway to designer style

Picking a business name is one of the toughest decisions, how did you select yours and what is the meaning behind it?

We had the name first, before we even knew what the business would be. Nathan + Jac comes from two of our three founders name’s, Tammy Nathan and Jac Zarkovic. We just liked how the names sounded together, there wasn’t any meaning behind it. We didn’t want to get too bogged down in selecting a name, we just wanted to get stuck into our idea.

What advice would you give to your younger-self?

We’ve made many mistakes in launching a new business and have a wealth of advice for our younger selves but in saying that, the biggest piece of advice would be to just go for it! We spent around 2 years planning Nathan + Jac

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Too many places, not enough time! But if I had to pick a top three right now; Havana, Iceland and always NYC.
