What inspired you to begin this venture and what has been the biggest surprise?

Noonie & I were inspired by the vintage pedlars from the 1800's who rode from town to town with their exotic wares from far away lands sharing their unique mixture of curated objects from around the globe. We loved the concept of taking on this style of retailing but using social media to generate interest and encourage a "following" and to curate independent retailers doing unique products that told a story.

Fast forward to 4 years later and we have created 22 pop up's, an online store and 1 permanent shop. So its been quite the adventure. The biggest surprise by far was when we won an international award for innovative retailing and were flown to Chicago to accept the award. We truly thought it was a prank! That really gave us a boost of confidence.

How would you describe your companies aesthetic/vision?

We are about affordability, great value, interesting and unique products with a story. We love curating and changing up the look and feel of our stores in terms of display and merchandising and we really believe in great customer service and storytelling about the products we stock.

Picking a business name is one of the toughest decisions, how did you select yours and what is the meaning behind it?

Haha.. .so true. Cause you're really stuck with it! We loved our name once we came up with it. We met a guy called Paco when we were travelling in Buenos Aires and his adjective of choice was "supercool" in his ace spanish accent. So we used that when we found supercool things in our travels whether it was a cafe, a hotel, clothing or street art. When we came up with the concept, curating "supercool" things seemed an obvious fit.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I'm pretty lucky to have travelled to lots of the interesting places I wanted to go when I was little.... I think anywhere exotic with my little family would be pretty awesome. Somewhere with artisan markets, beach and a different culture and language is my idea of a good holiday.
